As an artist I specialize in writing and illustrating children's books, but I also love doing so much more. Here you can see some of the things I love doing most!
Sculptures & Soft Toys
I usually create some kind of installation piece for each of my books, and take them on tour with me. I've made the stuffed animals (somewhat) resembling the characters in "Ci vediamo Fuori?", the one hundred clay birds from my book "I Dispettosi" and the three friends from "Gita al Lago" as well. I love painting things by hand, hand stitching silk little animals from scraps (my sister is a dress designer, so I have the best materials!) and embroidering them with mouths, funny eyes and little clothes. While these specific pieces are rarely for sale, you can always check out my shop or order a personalized softie (I can make any animal or shape, but remember, it'll always be a bit crooked and a bit funny!) or a little sculpure!
Creative workshops
Meeting readers, sharing my picture books and inviting them with me on a creative ride gives me a lot of joy. I try to bring a fun and free approach to my workshops, and I love to always create new ways of tickling people's creativity.
Everyone should have fun with art and storytelling, in my opinion!
If you are a library, bookstore or association, and would like to book a workshop, feel free to get in touch!
Murals
Dreamy botanical bedroom? Cool teenage hideout? Chic entry hall?
Think out of the box and give your spaces a unique look! I love creating one-of-a-kind designs for homes and businesses. Send me an email with your idea, we'll start from there.
Etchings & Stamps
During my years in art school, I learned various techniques of printmaking, and fell in love with it. I still keep at it from time to time, so keep an eye out in my shop for available etchings, or place and order for a personalized linocut stamp!
